Once, whilst in the company of Shaykh Mawlaanaa Asgar Husayn saahib (May Allaah Preserve Him), at the respected Shaykh’s house, Shaykh mentioned to those of us who were present a very easy way to stop oneself from sinning and attain Taqwa and Allaah-consciousness.
Shaykh (May Allaah Preserve Him) mentioned that his Hadhrat, Shaykhul ‘Arab wal ‘Ajam ‘Aarifbillaah Shaah Hakeem Muhammad Akhtar saahib رحمه الله , has advised of two different verses of the Glorious Qur’aan to ponder over whenever the thought crosses ones mind to disobey Allaah.
1. و هو معكم اين ما كنتم
Wa huwa ma ‘akum ayna maa kuntum.
“…He is with you wherever you are…”
2. الم يعلم بان الله يري
Alam ya’lam bi annAllaaha yaraa
“…does he not know that Allaah is watching him…”
